Patrick Wayne Tidwell

Patrick Wayne Tidwell, 65, of Columbus, GA passed away late Saturday night, November 16, 2024, in the comfort of his brother’s home in Mauk, GA

Patrick was born September 16, 1959, in Columbus, GA, son of the late James Braxton Tidwell and Arnell “Sue” Hattaway Graves. He had worked as a carpet installation subcontractor. He enjoyed watching all sorts of sports, NASCAR, Alabama Football, and enjoying many of the simple things in life. He was a Christian by faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Billy Joe Smith, who loved him as his own son, and a nephew, James Braydon “Twizzy” Tidwell.

He is survived by his brother, James Kenneth Tidwell and wife Wanda Gail of Mauk, GA; one sister, Sandra Gottfried and husband Robert of Columbus, GA; his aunt, Jean Cornett; numerous nieces, nephews; great nieces and nephews, and several other extended family members and many caring friends.

A private burial will take place at Lakeview Memory Gardens where he will be laid to rest beside his mother who recently passed away in June of 2023. Private memorial services will be held at future date by his loving family according to Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City.
