Paul Laurence Davis, 60, of Fort Mitchell, AL passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at the Columbus Hospice House in Columbus, GA.
A Catholic Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am EST on Monday morning, November 23, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fort Mitchell with Father Dennis Berry officiating. Interment will follow at the Fairfield Plantation Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4:00 to 6:00 pm EST at Fairfield Plantation Home on Hwy 165 in Holy Trinity/ Fort Mitchell.
Paul was born February 7, 1955 in Montgomery, AL, son of the late Claude Henry Davis and Sara Allen Davis. He was the owner/operator of Paul Davis Painting, Inc. with 30 plus years of service. He was a member of the Pittsview Ruritan Society, and an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, researching genealogy, and spending time with family. Two of Paul’s favorite quotes: “It’s about principals not personalities.” and “We have to do what we need to do, not what we want to do.”
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 36 years, Leisa Buckner Davis of Holy Trinity, AL, daughter, Zelie Anne Wooten and husband Frank of Decatur, GA, son, Paul Allen Davis of Phenix City, AL, sister, Tracey Davis Hill of Columbus, GA; one granddaughter, Chloe Jane Oliver, many nieces and nephews, extended family members, along with many caring friends.
