Peggy Ann Barr

Peggy Ann Barr, age 72, of New Windsor, Maryland, formerly of Alabama, died Saturday, October 28, 2023, at her home. Born April 20, 1951, in Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Aubrey Harold Jeter and Myrtlene Nelson Jeter. She was the wife of the late Norman Phillip Barr who died in 2018.

Prior to retirement, she worked as an Office Manager in the medical field.  She enjoyed birdwatching, gardening, cooking and reading. She was a strong Christian lady, with a faith that ran deep. She was a very generous person, always willing to help someone out. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her family.

Surviving are daughter Kristy Harris and husband Rick, grandson Jake Taylor, all of New Windsor and siblings Judy Raley, Jane Russell and Mike Jeter. Also surviving are many nieces and a nephew.

Graveside Servies will be held at 11:30 AM (EST) on Friday, November 3, 2023 in Lakeview Memory Gardens, with Dr. David Kees officiating according to Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 AM on Friday at the funeral home.
