Peggy Jean Hamby

Peggy Jean Davidson Hamby, 64, of Phenix City, Alabama passed away Friday January 12, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, GA.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, January 20, 2018 at New Life Fellowship, 4944 Yonah Homer Road, Alto, GA.

Mrs. Hamby was born on September 20, 1953 in Habersham County, GA daughter of the late Joe Davidson and Florean Meeks Davidson.  She retired from AFLAC with over 28 years of service.  Mrs. Hamby was a beautiful pianist and singer, that wrote many of the songs she sang.  She had steadfast faith and loved the Lord dearly.  Her other loves were her husband, children and grandchildren.  Mrs. Hamby always encouraged everyone to stay close to the Lord. 

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister, as well as two grandchildren, Asa and Eli Hamby.

She is survived by her loving husband, David Hamby of Phenix City, AL; a daughter, Emily Diane Hamby of Smiths Station, AL; a son, Michael David Hamby and wife Robin of Smiths Station, AL; four sisters and three brothers; grandchildren, Selah Grace, Seth Michael, Brandon Mark, Haley Rose and Mason David; many extended family members and friends.
