Peggy Thompson

Peggy Thompson, 64, of Columbus, GA. passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2013 in the comfort of her home. Graveside service will be held Saturday, August 3, 2013 beginning at 10:00 A.M. EST at Parkhill Cemetery, with Reverend Gary Hartman officiating. The family will receive friends Friday, August 2, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Vance-Brooks Funeral Home, 4048 Macon Road, Columbus, GA.

Peggy Thompson was born August 10, 1948, in Columbus, GA. daughter of the late Charles Hartman and Nina Bell Hartman. Peggy was Baptist by faith and a member of Edgewood Baptist Church.

Other than her parents Peggy is preceded in death by daughter, Janet Johansen and sister, Elgiree Miller.

Survivors include her loving husband, Jerry Thompson; two step-daughters, Tammy Luttrell and Diane Lewis; Sons, Chuck Johansen and wife, Laurie, Greg Johansen and wife Tonya; step-sons, Joe Thompson and David Thompson; brother Gary Hartman; Peggy also leaves behind seven grandchildren, Gregory, Laci, Austin Johansen, Austin Sanders, Justin James, Hailee and Catherine Thompson.
