Polk Morley House, Jr.

Polk Morley House, Jr,  (aka Bim or Biff) 90, of Columbus, GA passed away Sunday, May 29, 2016 at his residence in Columbus, GA surrounded by his family and friends. A funeral service will be held at Vance-Brooks Funeral Home, 4048 Macon Road, Columbus, GA on Thursday, June 02, 2016 beginning at 1:00 P.M. EST with the Reverend Eric Sizemore officiating. The interment will conclude the service at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 01, 2016 at the funeral home from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. EST

Mr. House was born August 10, 1925 in Tignall, GA to the parents of the late Polk Morley House, Sr., and Eva Bowers Henry. He was a United States Veteran who served his country proudly during World War II. He served in the United States Navy. He retired from Pascoe Steel, where he was known as "Biff".

Other than his parents, Mr. House is predeceased by a sister, Dovie Roberta House; and two brothers: Robert House and Jack House, and his daughter in law Carol House.

Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Martha J. House; two daughters: Tammy D. Eller (Ricky) of Columbus, GA and Sharon Y. Kennedy (Tom) of Pensacola, FL; one son, Christopher Mark House (Tina) of Sebastian, FL; five grandchildren: Jami Noland of Columbus, GA, Richard Cody Eller of Columbus, GA, Thomas C Kennedy of Pensacola, FL, Joseph B Kennedy of Pensacola, FL and Shawn D Dykes of Sebastian, FL; and three great grandchildren. He also leaves behind three adopted daughters; Gail Cave (Glenn) of Huntsville, AL, Linda Thomas of Buena Vista, GA, Janet Hocking (Don) of Columbus, GA and an adopted son Alan Jones of Buena Vista, GA.

The family would also like to extend a special thanks to Gentiva Hospice. Especially to Kelli and Doretta. You made our mothers ability to keep him home possible.
