Pricila Jean Moore

Pricila Jean Moore entered her heavenly home on January 6, 2025. A visitation will be held at 5-7 pm on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at Vance Brooks Funeral Home, 3738 Hwy 431 N, Phenix City, AL 36867. A funeral service will be held at 9:00 am on Friday, January 10, 2025, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1502 Broad Street, Phenix City, AL 36867 with services concluding with a procession to Fort Mitchell National Cemetery for a committal service beginning at 11:00 am. 

Pricila was born in Elizabethton, Tennessee on April 4, 1951, to the late Erma and Andrew Carr. After high school, Pricila obtained her associates degree and became a preschool teacher until retiring from Child Care Network. She was member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and loved being a part of the church bible study. Pricila was very creative and talented at sewing, arts and crafts, and gardening. She was a published author at Auburn University for her poems. She loved to write and would create funny poems often on a whim. Pricila was proud of her chickens, enjoyed cooking and baking, and loved being a part of a book club. She was especially proud of winning a chili cook-off. In her free time, she traveled as often as she could with a recent notable trip to Europe visiting 7 countries in 10 days. She was a thoughtful, loving, and witty woman who adored her family most of all, especially her grandchildren. Pricila will be missed deeply by those who knew and loved her.

Pricila Moore is preceded in death by her parents, Erma and Andrew Carr. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Mark Moore; daughters, Kristie Johnson (Adam) and Stephanie Sigmon (Bill); sister, Teresa Cauffman; and grandchildren, Tyler Johnson (Kathleen), Megan Johnson, Katie Hawkins (Caleb), Chace Sigmon, and Blake Sigmon.
