Rade Catic, 75 of Phenix City, AL passed away early Saturday morning, January 25, 2025, with family by his side.
Mr. Catic was born March 29, 1949, in Germany, son of the late Dusan Catic and Anna Cudak Catic. In his career, he worked with the Civil Service and worked as a long-haul truck driver. He was a Vietnam Veteran of the United States Army with committed dedication, pride, and love for his country. He was an expert marksman and enjoyed shooting guns. He loved his big blue truck, traveling, cheering on the Green Bay Packers, and spending time with his pet dogs, Bella and Darcey.
A visitation will be held at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at 1:00 pm EST followed by a memorial service at 2:00 pm EST with Pastor Kenneth Wilcox officiating. The family will receive friends after his memorial service for a short while at the funeral. A private place of rest will take place in home area of Milwaukee, WI, where he will always be loved and remembered, and never forgotten.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Barbara Catic, and a daughter, Sherry Temples.
He survived by his loving and devoted wife, Sharon Gaston Catic; three sons, Steve Baas, Billy Roan, and Dominick (Shianne) Roan; one brother, Mile Catic; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; numerous other loving family members, and many caring friends.
