Ralph Keith Sanders

Ralph Keith Sanders, 64, of Columbus, GA entered into Heaven on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 while at Piedmont Midtown Regional Hospital in Columbus, GA.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM (EST) on Friday, February 28, 2020 in the Chapel of Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL with Mr. Ben Smith officiating. A private interment will follow in Ladonia Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM till the funeral hour at the funeral home.

Mr. Sanders, also so known as “Coach” by friends and former students, was born June 15, 1955 in Phenix City, AL son of the late J. K. Sanders, III and Erline Jones Sanders. He was a former Football Coach and Bi-vocational pastor. He loved his children and especially his precious grandchildren.  We will remember him as an avid Bible Teacher who taught the Word of God with love and in truth. His wisdom, teaching and love will always be cherished in our hearts.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Sanders was preceded in death by a sister, Sherry Frith.

Survivors include his two children, Rebecca Valverde (Luis), Birmingham, AL and Davis Sanders, Kentucky; two siblings, Richard Sanders (Vickie), Columbus, GA and Martha Sanders Cecil, Eatonton, GA; two precious grandchildren, Gabriel and Carmen; mother of his children, Barbara Sanders; numerous nieces, nephews and friends also survive.
