Ralph Marvin Robison, 87, of Columbus, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at his home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am EST on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at Vance-Brooks Funeral Home, 4048 Macon Road Columbus, GA. Rev. Mark Sasser and Rev. Mike McAfee will officiate and burial will follow at Parkhill Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday night from 5-7 at Vance-Brooks Funeral Home. Mr. Robison was born August 24, 1927 in Clothier, WV to the late R.D. Robison and Kella Goss Robison. Mr. Robison proudly served his country in the United States Army. He retired from Ft. Benning as a planner/estimator in the Department of Engineering Housing and was a longtime member of East Highland United Methodist Church. He was a member of Wilson Williams Lodge #351 F&AM Phenix City, a member of Scottish Rite and the Alcazar Shrine Temple. Mr. Robison was carpenter and spent many days on home building missions trips. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by a brother R.D. Robison and his wife Kathleen and a sister Louise Bass and her husband Charles. He is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth “Liz” Robison; 2 daughters, Judy Louise Garrett and husband Emmett of Columbus, GA and Mary Ruth Wright and husband Rich of Columbus, GA; 2 granddaughters, Beth Garrett and Rebecca Lehman and husband Brad; brother-in-law Billy Harrison and his wife Judy; several nieces, nephews and other family members.
