Ralph Rayford Adams, 85, of Phenix City, AL passed away Saturday, April 4, 2020 at Magnolia Manor in Columbus, GA.
A private graveside service will be held Tuesday, April 7, 2020 at Lakeview Memory Gardens with Dr. Ralph Wooten officiating.
Mr. Adams was born February 28, 1935 in Troy, AL, son of the late James Bobbie Adams and Ophelia Whittington Adams. He retired from Swift Mill with over 45 years of service. Mr. Adams enjoyed playing golf, watching Atlanta Braves baseball and spending time with his family. He was a long time member of First United Methodist Church in Phenix City, AL.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette Adams; four brothers and one sister.
Mr. Adams is survived by his daughter, Judy Wasson of Phenix City, AL; a son, Ricky Adams and wife Beth of Smiths Station, AL; two sisters, Erie Snead and husband George of Atlanta, GA and Sara Sanders of Hamilton, GA; grandchildren, Jaime Mathison (John) of Madison, AL, Janene Yost (Matt) of Harvest, AL, Jared Wasson (Caroline) of Huntsville, AL, Jozef Wasson of Phenix City, AL, Carley Gray (Harris) of Smiths Station, AL and Nick Adams of Smiths Station, AL; great-grandchildren, Jacob Mathison, Ella Mathison and Penelope Yost; several nieces, nephews and extended family.
