Ralph Tyrone “R.T.“ Haines

Ralph Tyrone “R.T.” Haines, 70, of Columbus, GA, Went to be with the Lord Thursday morning January 29, 2015 unexpectedly at St. Francis Hospital following surgery. A funeral service is scheduled for Monday, February 2, 2015 beginning at 2:00 P.M. EST at Vance-Brooks Funeral Home, 4048 Macon Road, Columbus, GA. 31907. Reverend Hank Reeves will be officiating. Interment will conclude at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 4:00 until 6:00 P.M. EST, at the funeral home. Mr. Haines was born September 24, 1944 in Columbus, GA. He was a member of the senior adult Sunday school class at Glenn Anthony Baptist Church where he also serves as an usher. R.T. was retired from Fieldcrest Mill. He loved people and would always lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He enjoyed spending time with his family as well as his neighbors and especially his puppy Cocoa. He also enjoyed working in his yard and garden. R.T. will be deeply missed by all that knew him. R.T. is preceded in death by, his father, William Allen Haines; mother of his children, Frankie Ruth Turner Haines Simpson; and sister, June Cochran. He is survived by his daughters; Angela Lloyd and husband Curtis, Kay Bolt and husband Glynn, and son, Norman Haines; his mother Myrtle Adkinson Massey; Sister, Linda Mcrary (Charlie); brothers, Ben and Larry Massey; grandchildren, Kristie Lloyd, Zachary Lloyd, Ashley Martin (Jeffrey), Terry Newsome, JR; two great grandchildren, Hunter and Haven Martin; Former wife and friend, Ann Frazee; her daughter and his caretaker, Pam Frazee, her fiancAC. Roger Ervin; Ann's nieces, Debbie Webb Kliza, Cheri Slanchik and Michelle Fitzsimmons.
