Raymond Eugene Howard

Raymond Eugene Howard, 60, of Columbus, GA, passed away Sunday, January 07, 2018 at Midtown Medical Center in Columbus, GA.  A graveside service will be held at Parkhill Cemetery in Columbus, GA,  on Thursday, January 11, 2018 beginning at 3:00 PM EST with the Reverend Hank Reeves officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Vance-Brooks Funeral Home, 4048 Macon Road, Columbus, GA from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. EST.  

Raymond was born March 30, 1957 in Ft. Benning, GA to the parents of Wayman Howard Sr. and Barbara Howard.  Raymond was employed by AFFES for over 30 years. He enjoyed watching college football and was an Alabama Crimson Tide fan. Raymond also cherished spending time with his grandchildren and family. Family gatherings were his favorite past time.

Other than his father, Raymond is predeceased by his brother, James David Howard, maternal grandmother, Maria Lang and nephew, Matthew Howard.

Survivors include his daughter, Lindsay Reneé Smith (Chad) of Phenix City, AL; his mother, Barbara Howard of Columbus GA; two brothers, Wayman Earl Howard Jr. (Sonny) of Columbus, GA and Shannon Parker Howard of Phenix City, AL; two grandchildren, Casen and Cullen Smith; nieces, B.J. DiGiacomo (David) of Atlanta, GA, Christine McCawley (Trevor) of Atlanta, GA and Stephanie Howard of Phenix City, AL and great nieces and nephews, Giana, Alyssa and Michael DiGiacomo, Julian and Jalie McCawley and Caden Howard.
