Reba Jeanette Montgomery, 88, of Columbus, GA passed away on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at the Columbus Hospice House. Graveside services will be held at Parkhill Cemetery in Columbus, GA on Monday, August 23, 2021 beginning at 3:00 PM with Pastor Dennis Lacy and Pastor Mike McBride officiating. The family will receive friends Monday, August 23, 2021 at Parkhill Cemetery from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM, one hour prior to the service. In keeping with efforts to control the spread of COVID-19, social distancing guidelines will be observed and facemasks will be required.
Reba was born on November 23, 1932 in Ozark, AL to the late Moses Johnson and Bessie Miller Robbins. She spent her life being a blessing to others and a beautiful servant to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Reba loved to read the Bible and was a determined prayer warrior. To her family, she was a wonderful and loving mother and grandmother. Reba has, without a doubt, left a legacy for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was a friend to all and a godly woman who will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched.
Other than her parents, Reba is preceded in death by her husband William Ray Montgomery, sister Ruth Snellgrove, and son-in-law Wayne Britton.
Survivors include her daughter Deborah Britton (Wayne) of Columbus, GA; sons, Christopher Montgomery (Renee), Michael Montgomery (Pat), and Terry Montgomery (Becky); sister Ruby Railey; eleven grandchildren: Jayme Graham, Christina Keller, Michelle McPeek (Scott), Dana Foster, Jennifer York (David), Terry W. Montgomery, Jr. (Olivia), Lanie Davis (Josh), Delilah Montgomery, Hope Montgomery, Ashley Little, and Tiffany Hardy (Trey); several great-grandchildren and friends.
