Reba L. Morris

Reba L. Morris, 86, of Midland, GA passed away Thursday, December 08, 2016 at her residence in Midland, GA.  A funeral service will be held at Vance-Brooks Funeral Home on Monday, December 12, 2016 beginning at 12:00 P.M. EST with Reverend Barbara Starling officiating.  The interment will conclude the service at Mt. Zion Cemetery, 1232 Double Churches Road, Columbus, GA.  The family will receive friends Sunday, December 11, 2016 at the funeral home from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. EST.  

Mrs. Morris was born August 21, 1930 in Columbus, GA to the late Dewey J. “Paw Paw” Carver and Judy “Little Mama” Lowery Carver .  She was a member of Altman Memorial Baptist Church.  She was a home maker.

Other than her parents, Mrs. Morris is predeceased by her sons:  Melvin Harold Morris and Jimmy Harold Morris; her sisters:  Shirley Carver and Virginia Carver Lumpkin; and her brother, Dewey J. Carver, Jr.

Survivors include her loving husband of sixty-six years, George H. Morris; two daughters, Sharon Fowler (Ron) of Waverly Hall, GA and Tammy Ruhl (Greg) of Columbus, GA; her son, Joseph “Keith” Morris of Columbus, GA; two sisters:  Zettie Lathrop of Lawrenceville, GA and Callie Cruce (Dale) of Bessermer, AL; six grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
