Reba Lynn Williams Griffith, 59, of Salem, AL passed away peacefully early Friday morning, September 1, 2017 in the comfort of her home while surrounded by her loving family.
A celebration of life funeral service will be held 11:00 am EDT Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at Emmanuel Baptist Church with Reverend Marvin Minton officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm EDT at Vance Memorial Chapel.
Reba was born May 22, 1958 in Phenix City, AL to Lillie V. Gray Brown and the late Bernard Ray Williams. She was employed with Synovus Financial in Columbus, GA with 22 years of service. She loved her family, and her church. Reba served as a Sunday School teacher for the young adults and was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Phenix City. She enjoyed spending quality time with her family and especially with all her grandchildren. She loved supporting their many sports activities and programs they participated in. She was a lady of great character.
She is survived by her mother, Lillie V. Gray Brown and husband Charles of Salem, AL, her devoted and loving husband of 41 years, Reverend Alan Lamar Griffith of Salem, AL, daughter, Kimberly Elliott and husband Benjamin of Phenix City, AL, son, Brad Griffith and wife Katie of Salem, AL, two sisters, Sherry Williams and husband Harry of Salem, AL, and Charlotte Grimes and husband Lonnie of Phenix city, AL, three brothers, Ronnie Williams of Phenix City, AL, Roger Williams and Jennifer Dugard of Columbus, GA, and Mike Williams and wife Sandie of San Antonio, TX, mother-in-law, Dorothy Griffith; (5) precious grandchildren, Gracie, Noah, Libby, Troy, and Omarion, a very dear friend, Dana Woodall, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, church family, and many caring friends.
