Rebecca Katie "Becky" Hardy

Rebecca Katie “Becky” Hardy, 64, of Columbus, GA passed away peacefully on Monday, July 16, 2018 at the Columbus Hospice House in Columbus, GA while surrounded by her loving family.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held 4:00 pm Sunday, July 22, 2018 at Vance Memorial Chapel (Vance Brooks Funeral Home) in Phenix City with Pastor Nathan Lawrence officiating.  A private interment will be held at Lakeview Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to service on Sunday at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City.

Becky was born January 14, 1954 in Greenwood, SC to Bobbie Bollinger Hodges and the late William “Buddy” Hodges.  She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, aunt, sister, and Nanny to all.  She was deeply devoted to her family and friends.  She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, crafts, and watching several of her favorite TV programs such as the Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, and the Food Network.  Her greatest joy was sharing special moments and quality time with all her grandchildren, her family, and her friends.  She was a Baptist by faith.

She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Bobbie Hodges, her loving and devoted husband of 47 years, Bobby Gene Hardy of Columbus, GA, one daughter, Carrie Newton and husband Richard of Lake Harding, AL, two sons, Buster Hardy and wife Shawn of Cave Creek, AZ, and Mikey Hardy of Columbus, GA, sisters, Cindy Gillespie and husband Roger of Liberty, SC, and Donna Hodges of Anderson, SC, brothers, William “Bill” Hodges and wife Gena of Anderson, SC, and James Hodges of Anderson, SC; (5) precious grandchildren, Hayden Hardy, Lexi Hardy, Katie Morris, Thet Morris, and Adelynn Newton, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and many caring friends.
