Rebecca Pridgen Turner, 90, of Alabaster, AL, and formally of the Smiths Station – Phenix City community passed away Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Shelby Baptist Memorial Hospital in Alabaster, AL.
Mrs. Turner was born November 7, 1926 in Mississippi to the late Bura Floyd Pridgen and Rebecca Lenora Carter Pridgen. She was retired from Burnham Van Service and was a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Phenix City. She was a lady of great character who loved her family deeply. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Davis Turner.
She is survived by her sons, Robert (Bob) David Turner and wife Peggy of Macon, GA, and Roy "Lamar" Turner and wife Kathy of Alabaster, AL, one brother, Frank Pridgen of Collins, MS, grandchildren and great grandchildren, Kimberly Lillich, Victoria Dye, Kristen Appledorn, Steven Lillich, Reagan Lillich, Weston Dye, and Walker Dye.
A private graveside service was held at 3:00 pm, Friday, December 30, 2016 at Lakeview Memory Gardens by her loving family.
