Retha Morris Bratton

Retha Morris Bratton, 82, of Phenix City, AL passed away Sunday, August 7, 2016 in the comfort of her home while surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am EDT Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City with Chaplain Roy Isasi officiating.  Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 pm EDT at the funeral home.

Mrs. Bratton was born November 18, 1933 in Columbus, GA to the late Raymond Morris and Gussie Jane Lee Morris.  She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who loved her family deeply.  She enjoyed family gatherings, trips to Biloxi, cruises, working in the yard, and laying on the beach.  She was a wonderful cook and seamstress.  Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 62 years, Billy William Bratton of Phenix City, AL; four sons, Steve Russell and wife Debra of Pace, FL, Mike Bratton of Phenix City, AL, Gary Bratton and wife Jamie of Phenix City, AL, and John Bratton and wife Randy of Charlotte, NC; one sister, Jean Mears and husband Charles of Upatoi, GA, (6) grandchildren, Tanya, Michele, Michael, Kim, Hollie, and Justin.
