Rev. David Paul Turner

Rev. David Paul Turner, 70, of Phenix City, AL, passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2013, at Columbus Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm EST, on Sunday, November 17, 2013, at Epworth UMC, with Reverend Lamar Singleton and Reverend Grant Parker officiating. Interment will be at Lakeview Memory Gardens on Monday, November 18, 2013 at 11:00 am. The family will receive friends this evening (Saturday) from 4:00 until 6:00 EST at Vance Memorial Chapel.

Rev. Turner was born on October 20, 1943, in Augusta, GA, the son of the late Ruth Louise Greene Turner and William Thomas Turner. He was a minister with the Congregational Holiness Church for 26 years.

He is survived by his loving wife, Betty Louise Touchton Turner; children, Laverne Jackson (Glen), Paul Turner, Michael Turner, Scott Turner (Cindy), Tracie Morris and Carla Waldrop (Mark); siblings, Charles Turner, James Turner, Glenda Burkett, Linda Campbell, Bobby Turner, Jason Turner and Amanda Turner; 13 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; other extended family members and many, many caring friends and church family.
