Rev. Jimmy Delmar Stephens

Rev. Jimmy Delmar Stephens, 86, of Phenix City, AL passed away Thursday, February 18, 2021 at his home.

A graveside service will be held 12:00 noon Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Lakeview Memory Gardens Phenix City, AL with Rev. Reggie Andrews officiating.  The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.

Rev. Stephens was born November 7, 1934 in Trenton, GA, son of the late Winnie Otis Stephens and Ida Sanford Stephens.  He proudly served his country in the United States Army.  Rev. Stephens owned and operated Stephens Plumbing, Heating and Air Contracting for over 35 years.  Although he owned his own business, his passion was being the minister of the First Evangelistic Church since 1966.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Edith Michaels, Alice Weaver, Grace Maromia, and Naomi Wammock; brothers, Otis Stephens, Bob Stephens, Jim Stephens and Joe Stephens; a grandson, Jeremy Stephens and a  daughter-in-law, Darrie Stephens.

Rev. Stephens is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Bille Ann Morrison Stephens of Phenix City, AL; a daughter, Elizabeth Louanne Stephens Davis of Phenix City, AL; three sons, Jimmy Earl Stephens, Richard Otis Stephens and Larry Scott Stephens and wife Amber, all of Phenix City, AL; five sisters, Martha Ree and husband Pete of Bryant, AL, Glenda McAlley of Silsiby,  TX, Barbara Harrison and husband Buster of Chattanooga, TN, Ruth Townsend of Bryant, AL and Shirley Patton of Rossville, GA; grandchildren, Richard, Ashley, Natalia, Anna, Matthew, Dylan, Rebecca, Leah, Wyatt and Luke; great-grandchildren, Jeremiah, Kaitlyn, Hayden, Khloe, Winston, Waylon and Wesley; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to First Evangelistic Church, 9334 Lee Road 240, Phenix City, AL 36870.
