Rev. Ulus Luker, 93, of Phenix City, AL passed away Sunday November 11, 2018 at Kindred Hospice at Franciscan Woods in Columbus, GA.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Friday, November 16, 2018 at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service and a private burial will be held in Excel, AL. ALL TIMES EASTERN.
Rev. Luker was born January 3, 1925 in Repton, AL, to the late Joe and Ella Luker. He served in the Merchant Marines during WWII and began his life as a minister and Pastor after his return. He was a fulltime Pastor with the Assembly of God for over 50 years, serving at Central AOG in Columbus for over 35 years. He also served as local presbytor for a term.
Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Luker and seven brothers and a sister.
He is survived by his wife Rebecca Luker; three sons, Jim H. Luker(Cynthia), Richard Ulus Luker and Ronald Elderd Luker(Brenda); grandchildren, Josh Luker, Faith Flowers(Will) and Garri Luker(Lisa); great grandchildren, Carson, Lauren, Jones, Carlisle and Carrington; several nieces, nephews and extended family and caring friends.
