Reverend Jasper L. Вђњjackвђќ Mount

Reverend Jasper L. “Jack” Mount, 89, of Columbus, GA passed away Friday, September 09, 2016 at Hospice Atlanta at Emory University Hospital Midtown in Atlanta, GA. 

A funeral service will be held at Vance-Brooks Funeral Home, 4048 Macon Road, Columbus, GA on Monday, September 19, 2016 beginning at 12:00 Noon EST with the Reverend Thomas Mount officiating.  The services will conclude with military honors at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 18, 2016 at the funeral home from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. EST.       

Jasper Lovick Mount was born January 6, 1927 in Glenwood, AL.  He was the son of the late Henry Lee Mount and Bessie Lue Lovick.  He worked in the automotive industry for Beaudry Ford for approximately 20 years.  After moving back to Columbus, he started his own ministry.

Other than his Parents, “Jack” is predeceased by three sisters:  Mildred Louise Mount, Exa Janet Mount, and Mary Nell Fussell; and three brothers:  Edward L. Mount, Charles Mount and Donald Mount.

Survivors include his loving wife, Dorothy Jean Estes Mount;  his daughter:  Lizabeth West and husband, Mike, of Tallahassee, FL; a son:  Reverend Thomas Mount of Davenport, FL; one brother, Henry Julius Mount and wife, Merle, of Columbus, GA; several nieces, nephews and caring friends.
