Richard E. Martin

Richard E. Martin, 79 of Phenix City, AL passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2016, at the Gentiva Hospice in Columbus, GA.

Graveside services will be held at 2:30 pm EST, on Monday, August 1, 2016, at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery with Rev. Grant Parker officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday July 31, 2016 from 5-6:30 EST at the funeral home.

Mr. Martin was born in Muscatine, Iowa on July 3, 1937 to the late Ernest and Elizabeth Martin. He proudly served in the US Army and retired from AMPEX in Opelika, AL. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by his sister Donna Jean.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Judy Martin: son, Rick Martin and Georgia Isaac: sisters, Joanne and Geraldine; brother, Denny; extended family members and many caring friends.
