Richard Wayne Adams

Richard Wayne Adams, 59, of Byron, GA passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at Peach County Hospital in Byron, GA.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Friday, August 9, 2019 at Vance Brooks Funeral Home with Rev. Donnie Lumpkin officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 am, one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.

Mr. Adams was born August 25, 1959 in Columbus, GA son of Betty Jean Tate Adams and the late Craig Lamar Adams.  He worked as a carpenter in the construction industry for most of his career.  Mr. Adams never met a stranger and loved to socialize.  His hobbies included fishing, hunting, camping, as well as, watching NASCAR and Alabama football.

He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Linda Gail Jones Adams; two daughters, Heather Isom and husband Neil of Columbus, GA and Taelor Adams of Smiths Station, AL; one son, Scott Seymour and wife Alyssa of Smiths Station, AL; one sister, Sissy Adams Moore and husband Greg of Salem, AL; one brother, Rusty Adams and wife Dana of Byron, GA; five grandchildren, Natalie, Emmie, Nolan, Norah and Beckham; his best friend, Wayne Tice, several extended family and caring friends.
