Robert Bussey Findlater

Robert Bussey Findlater, 92, of Americus, GA, passed away on Monday, December 14, 2015, at The Oakes in Marshallville, GA.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm EST, on Wednesday, December 16, 2015, at Lakeview Memory Gardens in Phenix City.

Mr. Findlater was born on August 19, 1923 in Lee County, AL, the son of the late Henry B. Findlater and Maude Floyd Findlater. He retired from the Americus Times as circulation manager and worked for The Ledger Enquirer for many years. He also opened a restaurant in Americus in 1975 that was open for 7 years. He was a member of Lions Club of Americus and First United Methodist Church.

Other than his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Louise Hobbs Findlater, a sister, Maude Dudley, brothers George and Henry Findlater and great-granddaughter Elaina Scott.

He is survived by his daughter Laura Smith, husband Larry; 3 grandchildren, Leslie Scott, husband Kevin, Lindsey Smith Day and Lauren Morrison, husband Michael; several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
