Robert Daniel Kramer

Robert Daniel Kramer, 71, of Pittsview, AL, formerly of Miami, FL, died at Columbus Hospice Monday, October 01, 2019 surrounded by his loving family.

A Service of Remembrance with U. S. Marine Honors will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 12, 2019 in the Chapel of Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL. A private interment will be held at a later date. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Kramer was born December 10, 1947 in Miami, FL son of the late Daniel Edward Kramer and Annie Doris Watson Kramer. He was a proud U. S. Marine, “Once a Marine, always a Marine”, serving during the Vietnam War. He was awarded a Purple Heart and Silver Star during his service to our country. He was a giving man, who was always helping others. Mr. Kramer found peace and tranquility in fishing, wither alone or with family and friends. He was also 33rd Degree Mason. We will remember him as a man who loved his family, country and those around him; his wisdom, kindness and memories will continue to impact us and future generations.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Pamela  Jan Sanders Kramer, Pittsview, AL; three children, Laurie Ann Durfy, William Daniel Kramer and Robert Troy Kramer; five grandchildren, Cory, Brandon, Ashley, Michael and Nikki; six great-grandchildren, Cameron, Damien, Dahlia, Paislee, Wyatt and Aiden; several cousins and close friends also survive.
