Robert Earl Sloane

Robert Earl Sloane, 60, of Phenix City, AL, passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2015, at Jack Hughston Memorial Hospital.

A Memorial service will be held Wednesday, Jun 10, 2015, at 6:00 pm EDT, at Vance Memorial Chapel, with Pastor Nicole Radney officiating. Interment will be private and the family will receive friends an hour before the service on Wednesday, at the funeral home.

Mr. Sloane was born on March 8, 1955, in Philadelphia, PA, the son of the late Melvin D. Sloane and Dolores Grace Sloane. He is a Veteran of the US Marines, worked as an operator at Kemira Chemical for more than 24 years and enjoyed playing golf.

He is survived by his loving wife, Pamela Norris Sloane; two children, Angela Buckingham, husband Brian of Phenix City and Robert Sloane, wife Amanda; twin brother, John Sloane of Opelika, AL; brother, Ricky Sloane of Smiths Station; six grandchildren, Breanna Atkinson, Brent Adkison, Brittani Buckingham, Kyle Sloane, Hunter Sloane, and Brooke Buckingham; extended family members and many caring friends.
