Robert Edward Linton

Robert Edward Linton, 77, of Phenix City, AL, passed away on Friday, June 14, 2013, at his home.

A graveside service with Military Honors will be held at 10:00 am EST, on Monday, June 17, 2013, at Lakeview Memory Gardens, with Chaplain Jim Phillips officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour before the service on Monday, at Vance Memorial Chapel.

Mr. Linton was born on February 2, 1936, in Etowah, TN, the son of the late George Linton and Marie Beam Linton. He served in the US Air Force for over 22 years. Mr. Linton also worked for Bellsouth and was an avid golfer.

Other than his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, George, John and Thomas Linton and sisters, Kitty Lake and Patsy Chick.

He is survived by his sister, Judy Hardy; brother, Joseph Linton of Louisville, KY; several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
