Robert Edward Shores, Sr.

Robert Edward Shores, Sr., 72 of Smiths Station, AL, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2016 at Jack Hughston Memorial Hospital in Phenix City, AL.

A graveside service will be held, Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at 3:00pm EDT at Lakeview Memory Gardens, Phenix City, AL.  Rev. Skip Speed will be officiating the service.  Visitation will be held Tuesday evening, April 26th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm EDT at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City.

Robert Edward Shores, Sr. was the owner/operator of Shores Professional Painting for fifty years. He was a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church. He loved traveling, spending time with his grandchildren, hunting, fishing, gardening and enjoying the outdoors. He was a U.S.  Army veteran and a proud supporter of Smiths Station Athletics.

He was born November 21, 1943 in Malone, FL and was the son of the late Willie Shores and Johnnie Mae Robinson Shores. He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Jean Anderson Shores of Smiths Station, AL; his children, Ricky Shores and wife Lisa of Smiths Station, AL, Kimberly McCain and husband Kevin of Smiths Station, AL, Vicki Glisson and husband Shannon of Zephyrhills, FL and Robert Shores Jr., of Tampa, FL. A brother Willie Gene Shores and wife Jan of Thonotosassa, FL. Five grandchildren, Tyler McCain, Brock Shores, Autumn McCain, Dylan Glisson and Emily Glisson.
