Robert Emory Edwards, Sr

Robert Emory Edwards, Sr, 62, of Columbus, GA passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at his residence. 

 Robert was born on August 30, 1961 in Covington, KY to the late Robert Cameron Edwards and Muriel Jean Chapman Edwards. He was employed with Pratt and Whitney, retiring as a Quality Control Ultrasound Inspector. Robert’s life was always wrapped around his family. He always strove to be the best dad to his two sons. Although he could be very strict, Bob and Shawn knew their dad had a big heart and loved them immensely. Robert and his wife Debra had a wonderful marriage for over 30 years. He was a dedicated and loving husband, and she was the light of his life. After her untimely passing, Robert felt totally lost. 

 Robert enjoyed NASCAR, rock ‘n roll music and CB radios. His smiles and laughter will be missed by his family and friends, but his love will continue to fill their hearts. 

 Other than his parents, Robert is preceded in death by his wife Debra Jean Winters Edwards, two brothers and one sister. He is survived by his sons Robert Emory Edwards, Jr and Shawn Michael Edwards, both of Columbus, GA, grandson Brendan Carl Edwards, two sisters, one brother, six nephews, nine cousins, and a host of friends.
