Mr. Robert “Bob” W. Crowley

Mr. Robert “Bob” W. Crowley, 91, of Phenix City, AL, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2022, at his home.

A private Graveside service was held at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery Tuesday morning, May 31, 2022.

Mr. Crowley was born May 22, 1931 in Phenix City, AL, the son of the late George D. Crowley, Sr. and Lillian Johnson Crowley.  He proudly served his country in the United States Navy.  After his military service, he worked as a postal carrier for the US Postal Service until he retired with over 25 years of service.  Mr. Crowley enjoyed his job and was a member of the National Rural Letter Carrier’s Association.  He also enjoyed hunting and traveling with his wife in their camper.  Mr. Crowley was known by his family and friends to be a man that always provided for his family.  There was a special place in his heart for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  He attended the Church of the Highlands.

Other than his parents, Mr. Crowley was preceded in death by a daughter, Diane Guy; two sisters, Betty Gilford and Margie Miles; and two brothers, Joe Tom Crowley and George D. Crowley, Jr.

He is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Claire MacMurrian Crowley of Phenix City, AL; two daughters, Linda Harris and husband Wayne and Melanie Crowley, all of Phenix City, AL; a son, Bill Crowley and wife Jan of Land O’Lakes, FL; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, extended family and caring friends.
