Robert Wright

Robert Wright, age 74, resident of Phenix City, Alabama, passed away on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at his residence. Private services will be held at a future date.
Mr. Wright, son of the late Robert Wright and Odessa Skinner Wright, was born August 25, 1946 in Ocilla, Georgia. He was an electrician, retiring from AFLAC after many years of faithful service. Mr. Wright loved the outdoors, particularly hunting and fishing. He was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan and always followed NASCAR. Mr. Wright enjoyed taking trips to the Gulf Coast with his wife and always looked forward to spending time with his dog, Nemo. The family remembers him as a loving husband, father, grandfather – family meant everything to him.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nelda Tressa Martin Wright. He is survived by one daughter, Angie Russell and her husband Mark of Phenix City; one son, Rodney Wright of Phenix City; and one sister, Shelby Smallwood, also of Phenix City; four grandsons, Travis Russell, Dillan Wright, Scottie Wright, and Kevin Wright; many other relatives and friends.
