Roger Dale Brady passed away February 7, 2024, at St. Francis Hospital. He was born on April 16, 1956, in Macon, Georgia to Raymond Brady and Geneva Finley Brady of Columbus, GA.
Roger dedicated his professional life to his work as a dump truck driver for Warr Grading. With determination and diligence, he served the company and made significant contributions throughout his career. His strong work ethic made him a respected member of the team.
One of Roger's passions in life was his devotion to his family. As a husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Roger had an incredibly caring nature that touched the lives of those around him. He was always there to lend a helping hand or offer comforting words in times of need. His presence brought joy and laughter to family gatherings and social events.
Roger's interests spanned a wide range of activities. He was an avid supporter of the Georgia Bulldogs and never missed an opportunity to cheer for his favorite team. Roger enjoyed fishing and many other outdoor activities. He was always busy and loved to help those close to him with home improvement projects. Above all else, Roger was a faithful, God-fearing man who loved the Lord with all his heart.
In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his wife Edna Brown Brady; sister Nancy Brady Dozier; and stepson Tony Ricker.
Roger leaves behind a multitude of loved ones who will deeply miss him. He is survived by his loving wife of four years, Sharon Brady of Gulf Shores, AL; his daughter Laura Foxworth and her husband Timmy Foxworth of Columbus, GA; stepdaughter Stephanie Willingham and her husband Justin Brady of Leesburg, GA; stepson Wesley Trowell and his wife Tori Trowell of Gulf Shores, AL; sister Patricia Page and her husband Barney Page of Americus, GA; sister Tina Gray and her husband Bobby Gray of Buena Vista, GA; sister Rena Harralson and her fiance Mike Clark of Fort Mitchell, AL; brother James "Lee" Brady and his wife Judy Brady of Buena Vista, GA; brother David Brady and his wife Brenda Brady of Raleigh, NC; brother-in-law Bobby Dozier of Columbus, GA; as well as 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, who will cherish his memory forever.
Friends will have the opportunity to pay their respects during the visitation service to be held on February 12, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Vance Brooks Funeral Home - Columbus located at 4048 Macon Rd, Columbus, GA 31907. A funeral service will follow from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location, with interment immediately after at Parkhill Cemetery. The funeral will be a celebration of Roger's life and the impact he had on those around him.
Roger Dale Brady will forever be remembered as a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. His kind-hearted nature, unwavering faith, and love for his family will continue to inspire all those who were fortunate enough to have known him. May his soul find eternal peace as those who mourn his loss find solace in their cherished memories of him.
