Ron Durham

Ron Durham, 63, of Salem, AL passed away Friday, April 10, 2020 at his home.

A private service will be held at a later date.

Ron was born June 8, 1956 in Hamilton County, OH, son of the late Forrest Richard Durham and Rosemary Herrin Durham.  He proudly served his country in the United States Army and retired after 20 years.  More recently, Ron had worked in distribution for the Ashley Home Store and served as the President, Lake Harding Associate for 5 years.  He loved being outside; camping, hunting and fishing.  Ron also enjoyed gardening but most of all, spending time with his family.  He was a member of Golden Acres Baptist Church in Phenix City, AL.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a step-mother, Mary Lu Durham.

Ron is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Shelia Lackey Durham of Salem, AL; a daughter, Mae Durham of Salem, AL; sons, Russell Durham and wife Kristen of Pace, FL and Travis Durham of Columbus, GA; Mother In-law Shirley Lackey and two sisters, Debra Carpenter and husband Bill and Chris Byers and husband Joe, all of Ft. Wayne, Ind; one grandchild, Forrest James Durham of Pace, FL; several extended family and friends.
