Rory Dean Murphy

Rory Dean Murphy, 75, of Camp Hill, Alabama  passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2018 in Columbus, Georgia.  A funeral service will be held at Vance-Brooks Funeral Home, 4048 Macon Rd., Columbus, GA. 31907 on Monday, February 05, 2018 beginning at 11:00 A.M. EST, with Rev. Graddy Self, Rev. Terry Bohannan and Rev. Doug McKenny officiating.  The interment will conclude the service at County Line Baptist Church, 5324 County Rd. 51, Camp Hill, AL., 36850.  The family will receive friends Sunday, February 04, 2018 at  Vance-Brooks Funeral Home from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. EST.  

Rory  was born September 23, 1942  in West Point, GA.  to his parents, Roy Murphy and Jessie Winslett.  Roy attended several churches including the Intercontinental Church of God. Rory was a very dedicated employee for over 35 years at the Linville Cedar Mill, Cedar Town, AL.  Rory was a devoted husband, son and friend.

Rory is predeceased by his father, Roy Dennis Murphy.

Survivors include his wife of 7 years, Lola Bell Murphy.   Rory is also survived by his mother, Jessie Mae (Winslett) Argroves of Columbus, GA.  Rory had very special friends he is survived by; Kerry and his wife Susan Pace of Ashlin, AL., Dr. and Mrs. Paul Garcia. Rory also leaves behind his dogs, Lisa Faye and Tuffy Tex.  Other than these family and friends Rory is survived by numerous loving cousins, nieces and nephews.
