Rose Marie Martin

Rose Marie Martin, 73, of Phenix City, AL passed away Wednesday morning, October 4, 2023, at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, AL.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm EDT on Monday, October 9, 2023, at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City, AL with Rev. Neise Ward Vete officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Monday, one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home in Phenix City.
Ms. Martin was born January 19, 1950, in Mobile, AL, she was the daughter of the late John J. West and Ethyl Meridith West. She had the honor to serve as a nurse technician for Norris Nursing Service for 22 years and was retired. She enjoyed adventures, traveling and visiting fascinating places, nature, the outdoors, boating, and hot air balloon rides. She was a huge fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide and enjoyed every opportunity to support and watch their games. She was a Pentecostal by faith.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Fredrick Martin; an infant son, Fredrick Martin and two brothers, Jonathan West, and Edward West.
She is survived by two sons, Matthew Martin and wife Meredith and Bennie Martin and wife Melissa; two sisters, Glenda McClure, and Betty Hamilton and husband Jim; five grandchildren, Dana Martin, Shelby Martin (Lissa), Jessica Martin, Bailey Martin, and Ella Grace Martin; three precious great- grandchildren, Ledia, Lukas, and Bryce and several nieces, nephews, numerous extended family members, and many caring friends.
