Royce Wendell Welch

Royce Wendell Welch, 65, of Phenix City, AL passed away Tuesday morning, May 31, 2016 in the comfort of his home while surrounded by his loving family.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held 11:00 am EDT Thursday morning, June 2, 2016 at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City with Pastor Mike Turner officiating.  The family will receive friends at the memorial service.  A private interment will be held by his family.

Royce was born January 22, 1951 in Geneva, AL to the late Ralph Welch and Myrtle Railey Welch.  He was retired as a truck driver with many years of dedicated service.  He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who had a deep devotion and love for his family.  He enjoyed camping, fishing, golf, and cooking.  He was a Baptist by faith.  Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Kathy and Ann, and a brother, Wayne.

He is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Karen Anne Tutten Welch of Phenix City, AL; children, April Bagnall and husband Joel of Organ, Tessa Welch, Tandee Eiland and husband Gary of Crawford, AL and Niki Baker and husband Kevin of Manchester, GA; (11) grandchildren, Neil Boatner, Jr., Ashlyn Boatner, Isaac Bagnall, Kansas Singleton, Dwayne Singleton, Kodi Shows, Kayla Shows, Justin Eiland, Hailey Eiland, Drew Baker, and Jared Baker, a host of nieces and nephews, extended family, and many caring friends.
