Ruby Virginia Davis Culpepper, 88, of Phenix City, AL passed away early Saturday morning, April 30, 2016 at the Columbus Hospice House in Columbus, GA.
A celebration of life memorial services will be held 2:00 pm EDT Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Central Baptist Church in Phenix City with Rev. Jim Caldwell officiating. A private interment will be held at a later date. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm EDT prior to the memorial service at the church.
Ms. Culpepper was born February 1, 1928 in Sasser, GA to the late Frank Davis and Tesa Weathersby Davis. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who deeply loved her family. She enjoyed listening to Gospel music on the radio and spending quality time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Central Baptist Church. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by several sisters and brothers.
She is survived by her three sons, Ronald Edward Culpepper and wife Theresa, David Culpepper, and Jeff Culpepper and wife Tina, father of their children, Edward Ferney Culpepper, three sisters, Lillian Ramsey and husband Jack, Martha Sherman, and Dorothy Fussell, and one brother, Charles Davis; (4) grandchildren, Ashley Lisenby (Kraig), Breanna Culpepper, Emily Culpepper, and Jaime Culpepper, (3) great grandchildren, Maya, Emrys, and Maven, and a host of nieces and nephews.
