Ruth Ann Allen

Ruth Ann Allen, 78, of Phenix City, AL died a Piedmont Columbus, Midtown on Thursday, December 10, 2020 with her family by her side.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM (EST) on Monday, December 21, 2020 in Lakewood Baptist Church, Phenix City, AL with Rev. M. R. Hamilton officiating according to Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL. Interment will follow in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church.
Mrs. Allen was born April 18, 1942 in Columbus, GA daughter of the late J. A. Strickland and Lee Etta Odom Strickland. She had worked at CVS with as the American Greeting Cards Rep. for several years, and she was a homemaker. She enjoyed crocheting, puzzles, cruises, and time with her family. We will remember her as a loving wife, mother, and friend.
Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by her parents and siblings J. W. Strickland, Edna Strickland Pippin, Pauline Strickland Skeeen, David Strickland, Ralph Strickland, Florence Strickland Page, Earl Strickland and Tommy Strickland.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Wayne Allen, Phenix City, AL; two sons, James Lee Allen, Columbus, GA and Ronnie Wayne Allen, Phenix City, AL; one sister, Irene Burton, Columbus, GA; two special nieces, Debbie Burton Bankston (Jimmy) and Gloria Skeen Wood (Troy Wood); other nieces, nephews and friends also survive.
