Ryan Cole Watford

Ryan Cole Watford, age 21, resident of Phenix City, Alabama, passed away on Friday, December 18, 2020. Funeral services are scheduled at the Chapel of Vance Brooks Funeral Home, 3738 US Hwy 431N, Phenix City, on Thursday, December 24, 2020, 10:00 a.m. (EST) with Reverend Ritchie Ashburn officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 from 5-7 p.m. (EST).
Ryan, son of Donnie Watford and Belinda Carter Watford, was born January 11, 1999 in Phenix City. After graduating from Russell County High School in 2018, he began a career in plumbing, where he worked for Holloway Plumbing Service. Ryan was a member of Silver Run Baptist Church, and a young man that truly loved the outdoors. He always lived life to the fullest, a kindhearted soul in which “people were drawn” to him. Ryan enjoyed hiking; camping; animals; and photography. He seemed many times to have a wild imagination, but family and friends knew he was real and could be counted on when needed. Ryan always looked forward to swimming at the beach, cooking, and spending time working on and admiring classic cars, particularly low-riders. The family remembers Ryan as a high -spirited giver, a loving and caring young man, who never met a stranger.
Ryan was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Sandra Lee Watford. He is survived by his father, Donnie Watford and his wife Lisa of Phenix City; mother, Belinda Sanders and her husband David of Seale, Alabama; three sisters, Ashley Teal of Phenix City, Kayla Carter of Columbus, Georgia, and Faruza Sanders of Dothan, Alabama; two brothers, Anthony Oliver and his wife Meghan of Lee County, Alabama and Oren Saulters of Phenix City; paternal grandfathers, Donnie Watford, Sr. of Phenix City and Legary Summers of Lee County; maternal grandparents, Danny Ray and Linda Carter of Lee County; three uncles, Danny G. Carter and his wife Samantha, Franky Howard and his wife Lara, and Douglas Vincent Watford; four aunts, Charala Hewitt and her husband Gabriel, Rhonda Skeen and her husband David, Wendy Dawn Watford, and Kimberly Lee; many nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
