S. Roland "Robbie" Robbins

S. Roland “Robbie” Robbins, 89, of Phenix City, AL passed away Saturday morning, August 15, 2015 in the comfort of his home.

A graveside service will be 11:00am, Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at Lakeview Memory Gardens with Rev. Marvin Minton officiating. Visitation will be Monday, August 17, 2015 from 6 until 8 at Vance Memorial Chapel.

Mr. Robbins was born July 30, 1926 in Rose Hill, AL to the late S.G. Robbins and Myrtle Smith Robbins. He served in the US Air Force and later worked for Exxon Company in Columbus, GA until his retirement. He was also a member of Crawford Road Baptist Church. Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Dollie W. Robbins and a grandson J. Shane Robbins.

He is survived by his children, Joe Robbins wife Mary Jo, Jan Robbins and Ginger Robbins Tyler husband George; grandchildren, J. Grant Tyler of Vancouver, Washington and Garrett H. Tyler of Phenix City, AL; three great-grandchildren; many other extended family members and friends.
