Sadie Clark Ellerbee

Sadie Clark Ellerbee, 92, of Columbus, GA passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at Orchard View in Columbus, GA.  A graveside service will be held at Riverdale Cemetery, 1000 Victory Dr, Columbus, GA on Monday, February 24, 2020 beginning at 11 am with Rev. Jerry Speer officiating.   

Sadie was born on October 23, 1927 in Holmes County near Graceville, FL.  The daughter of the late Alto Lee Clark and Nona Jane McIntosh Clark and the widow of James (Jack) Ellerbee, she had lived in Columbus since 1947.  She was a member of Northside Baptist Church.  Sadie retired from West Point Pepperell after 37 years of service and worked for Walmart as a people greeter for 14 years.

Other than her parents and husband, Sadie is preceded in death by her son, Tommy Ellerbee; sisters: Inez Peters, Myrlene Frith, Irell Marshal, Louise Clark and Jeanette Harbert; brothers: Robert Clark, Walter Clark, Hubbard Clark and Herman Clark.

Survivors include her daughter, Kathy Gunnels (Mike) of Columbus, GA; sons, Bobby Ellerbee (Connie) and Ricky Ellerbee (Maryellen), both of Columbus, GA; daughter-in-law, Pat Ellerbee of Columbus, GA; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
