Sandra "Judy" Brown Johnson

Sandra “Judy” Brown Johnson, 78, of Phenix City, AL passed away peacefully Thursday afternoon, on February 6, 2025, at Parkwood Healthcare in Phenix City, AL.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm EST on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City with Rev. Andrew Spires officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday one hour prior to her service at the funeral home in Phenix City.  

Ms. Johnson was born January 25, 1947, in Columbus, GA, daughter of the late Rev. Lonnie J. Brown and Hazel Pelham Brown. She served as office manager for Surgical Associates of Columbus with many years of loyal and dedicated service. She was a member of West Georgia Medical Managers Association, Georgia Medical Managers Association, Medical Group Managers Association, and the Events Committee for the Columbus Regional Medical Foundation. Judy cherished her many friendships from high school years, staying in touch and fellowshipping with many throughout their lives, families, and adventures. She served on the Central High School Class of the 1965 Reunion Committee, which brought much joy and memories. She was a Drum Major of her high school marching band; she loved cooking for family outings and preparing home cooked meals for many of her close friends. She enjoyed traveling, visiting the beaches in Florida, and the many freshwater lakes. She was a faithful Christian, and a member of Lakewood Baptist Church in Phenix City. 

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert A. Brown.

She is survived by her brother, Richard M. “Ricky” Brown; sister-in-law, Patty Brown; nieces and nephews, Robert A. Brown, II, Cory A. Brown, Ashley Elkins, Elizabeth Brown Randall (William), and Andrew Pelham Brown; one great nephew, Patrick Peck; many other extended loving family members, church family, and numerous friends.
