Sandra Kay Jenkins

Sandra Kay Spivey Jenkins, 67, of Columbus, Ga, passed away July 19, 2015 at Columbus Hospice House. A funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at Vance-Brooks Funeral Home, 4048 Macon Rd, Columbus, GA, 31907; beginning at 11:00 A.M. EST. Interment will conclude at Parkhill Cemetery. Reverend Bill Hartley will be officiating the services. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Sandra Kay Spivey Jenkins was born May 22, 1948 in Dublin, GA. daughter of the late Owen Spivey and Eva Blount Spivey. Sandra was a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church, in her free time she enjoyed fishing. Sandra will be remembered as a devoted wife, a wonderful mother. Survivors include her loving husband of 52 years Charles Wayne Jenkins, of Salem, AL; son, Charles Wayne Jenkins Jr, and wife Sheri of Smith Station, AL; sisters, Nell Creighton and husband Dan of Kissimmee, FL, Gail Day and husband Roswell, of Columbus, GA, and Cynthia Brown of Americus, GA; brothers, Ray Spivey, of Columbus, GA, Randy Spivey and wife Jeanine of Ellerslie, GA; grandchildren, Owen Neal Jenkins and Elijah Dylan Jenkins. Sandra also leaves behind many loving extended family members and caring friends. In lieu of flowers those so desiring may make a memorial donation to Columbus Hospice House, 7020 Moon Rd, Columbus, GA.
