Sandra R. Daughtry

Sandra R. Daughtry, 77, of Seale, AL passed away Sunday, September 3, 2023, in the comfort of her home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am EDT on Thursday, September 7, 2023, at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City with Dr. David White officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home in Phenix City.
Mrs. Daughtry was born November 17, 1945, in Abbeville, AL, daughter of the late Floyd Richards and Annie-Laura Nolan Richards. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who loved her family deeply. She had worked with the City of Phenix City Central Activities Center and was retired. She served as a Hospitality Director and enjoyed helping members with the art of ceramics and other art projects. She also served as a Tour Leader for Diamond Tours engaging in many friendships and events as each day came to pass. She loved cooking, reading, nature, and animals, and especially all her pet dogs. Her special treat was always sharing stories and memories with all her grandchildren and great- grandchildren. She was a Baptist by faith.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 59 years, Jerry Daughtry of Seale, AL; daughter, Mechelle Dunn of Moultrie, GA; son, Dwayne Daughtry of Phenix City, AL; three grandchildren, Lauren Vete and husband Johnny, Hali Dunn, and Jasmine Daughtry and Steve Smith; six precious great- grandchildren, Chandler, Eden, Harrison, Dominick, Marcus, and Anthony; brother and sisters-in-law, Dell, Jimmie, Don, Roger, Beverly, and Shirley; numerous other extended loving family members, and many caring friends.
