Sara Dozier Milner, 84, of Seale, AL passed early Wednesday morning, July 19, 2017 in the comfort of her granddaughter’s home in Phenix City.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am EDT Friday, July 21, 2017 at Parkhill Cemetery with Rev. Sammy Davis officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm EDT at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City.
Mrs. Milner was born November 20, 1932 in Juniper, GA to the late Benjamin I. Dozier, Sr. and Annie Kate Belk Smith. She was retired from K’mart in Phenix City as a Department Manager with 30 years of service. Her passion in life has been her family, raising children, cooking, crocheting, quilting, and spending time in her yard. She was a member of Kirkland Memorial Baptist Church. Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Lewis E. Milner, Jr., two daughters, Millicent White, and Cleon Davis; one sister, Rebecca Dozier, three brothers, Benjamin Dozier, Jr., Johnny Dozier, Sr. and Carl Dozier, two grandchildren, William Malcom White, Jr., and Shannon Darlene Davis.
She is survived by three sisters, Patsy Martin, Betty Niles and husband Ed, and Nancy May, one brother, Denton Dozier and wife Kathy, one grandson, Jason Davis, one granddaughter, Dawn Woodworth and husband James, three great grandchildren, Jacob, Natalie, and Levi Woodworth, a host of nieces, and nephews, extended family, and many friends.
