Sara Lacroix Shiver

Sara LaCroix Shiver of Pittsview, AL passed away Thursday, October 29, 2015 Phenix City, AL.

A funeral service will begin at 10 AM, Monday November 2, 2015 at Vance Memorial Chapel with visitation from 9 until 10 before the service. Rev Benny Pate will officiate. Interment will follow at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery.

Mrs. Shiver was born on August 22, 1925, in Ft. Mitchell, AL to the late Howard LaCroix and Georgia Stratford LaCroix. She was member of Freewill Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Gerald Shiver and brother Gene Watson.

She is survived by one son, David Smith and wife Diane of Buckhead, GA; a grandson, Christopher Scott Smith and wife Loria and one great-grandchild Kasey Anne.  She was blessed to have Mr. Gerald’s family as her own for many years; Cindy O’Hara, Howard Shiver and wife Neva, Hubert Shiver and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews and other extended family also survive.
