Sarah Ann Smith

Sarah Ann Fordham Smith, 79, of Phenix City, AL passed away on Friday, December 1, 2017.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm EST, on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at Vance Memorial Chapel with Pastor Gerald Corbin officiating.  Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends Tuesday from 2:00 until 3:00 pm EST, one hour prior to the service, at Vance Memorial Chapel, Phenix City, AL.

Mrs. Smith was born January 30, 1938 in Thomaston, GA, daughter of the late Huss Fordham and Ollie Mae Granger Fordham.  She retired after 29 years of service with Southern Maid Foods and later retired again from Lance.  Mrs. Smith was a member of Bush Road Emanuel Holiness Church. 

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Paul O. Smith; two sisters and four brothers.

She is survived by four daughters, Janet Cabezas and husband Andy of Columbus, GA, Melinda Stockdaile and husband Benny of Columbus, GA, Bobbie Ann Ward and husband Mike of Conway, SC and Brenda Heyward and husband Rick of Conway, SC; one son, Paul Dywayne Smith and wife Shan of Salem, AL; one brother, Larry Fordham and wife Earnestine of Thomaston, GA; grandchildren, Yolanda, Manuel, Burt, Melisha, Brandon, Brad, Thomas, Travis, Jessica, Justin, Lee and Jacob; 21 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great-grandchildren and numerous extended family and caring friends.
