Sarah Kay Jackson

Sarah Kay Jackson, 62, of Salem, Alabama, passed away on Thursday, June 3, 2021, at her home in Salem, Alabama.

A visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, June 4, 2021 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at Vance Brooks Funeral Home, 3738 Hwy 431 N, Phenix City, AL. Funeral Services will be Saturday, June 5, 2021, at Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL at 10:00 am, with Chaplain Dean Knipe of Kindred Hospice officiating. The interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens.

Sarah was born on October 28, 1958, in Tiffin, Ohio, the daughter of Donnie Head and Bodean Brown Head. She worked for Rivertown Ford for many years. Sarah was a Christian and a member of Auburn Heights Baptist Church. She was an avid reader, a great cook, and loved being a grandmother. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Sarah is preceded in death by mother, Bodean Head and son, Josh Grimes.

She is survived by her father Donnie (Rhonda) Head; son, Eric (Meredith) Whitehead; niece, Jennifer (Shane) Camp; sister, Bettie Jo Jackson; grandchildren, Levi Grimes, Lane Grimes, Layla Grimes, Reese Whitehead and Griffin Whitehead; as well as several extended family and caring friends.
